Promotional and Marketing subcommittee

Aims:

q       To promote the O.T. Profession locally with both the general public as well as amongst other professionals within the health sector.

q       To produce advertising and promotional material to promote and publicise our association role and profession.

q       To provide updates for members and other interested personnel by keeping an updated website with latest information.

q       To publish a Summer, Christmas and Easter newsletter.

q       To liase with the editorial board of the M.A.O.T. journal committee and assist them during its publication.

Social and Fundraising Subcommittee

Aims:

q       To provide social activities for O.T.'s to network with each other and other Professionals,

q       Possibly, to develop a sense of belonging towards M.A.O.T., and

q       To enhance cohesion among the association members.

Goal:

Ø      A social or fundraising activity is organised by M.A.O.T. every 6 months

Activities to be organised:

Ø      Lottery/prizes during meals, etc

Ø      Night hike coupled with selling of food items

Ø      BBQ

Ø      Competitions

Ø      OT/Therapist of the year/2 years

Ø      Christmas party or Christmas continue education followed by drinks

Ø      Sports day

Ø      Activities/Exhibiting products produced by clients

Ø      Retro night

Ø      Talent show

Ø      Activities for the members' children

Students Subcommittee

Aims:

q       To motivate students to become members of M.A.O.T. and thus increase memberships.

q       To facilitate communication between M.A.O.T and students.

q       To increase the participation of students in educational and social activities organised.

q       To identify students who can voluntary assist the association in organisational needs (to create and encourage students to participate in extra-curriculum activities organised by our association).

q       To select a student representative on the M.A.O.T. committee.
