KNPD ILC Training - 2nd Application Call

Hi all

We are attaching the 2nd application call for the activities being organised during September – October and November 2010. Allow us to remind you that this project is organised by the National Commission Persons with Disability. It consists of various training programmes for trainers providing an Independent Living Service for persons with disability. The programmes range from courses organised in Malta and abroad, including conferences, exhibitions and visits to centres abroad.

Part-financed by the European Union (European Social Fund), this project will provide training for professionals in rehabilitative therapy and driving instructors to become qualified to give advice and support to persons with disability through KNPD and its Independent Living Centre in Hal Far. We would be grateful should you pass on this email (together with its attachments) to interested professionals so that they can apply for the project events featured.

We have also attaching the Gantt Chart that outlines the training activities happening in this period. We still need to decide upon the 2nd run of the Malta Adaptive Driving Course bound to happen in this quarter. Please also note that the 2nd run of the Malta Course on Adaptive Equipment carries on in the first week of December 2010. Also, please note that each participant is free to apply to more than one training event/conference. He or she can apply to any of the events/activities he/she deems necessary.

Allow us to remind you that persons who have already applied for the project events (in our first call) need not apply again. Their application will be valid thru the whole project.

Kindly note that the closing date for this call is 6 August 2010. Another call will be published for the other activities during the first quarter of 2011.

Thanks and regards

The Swedish Association of Occupational Therapists (FSA) feels great pride and deep inspiration being the host for the COTEC Congress of Occupational Therapy in 2012. We hope to see thousands of occupational therapists from Europe and around the world in Stockholm on 24-27 May 2012. Our work will be continually presented on website www.cotec2012.se. The theme for the Congress will be Occupational Diversity for the Future. This opens for a broad discussion on a wide spectrum of occupational therapy. Thus we expect interesting abstracts showing the latest in research and practice. Since the theme is so broad we hope that the information and discussion at the congress will break boundaries and point to new possibilities, where occupational therapy will play an important role.

Stockholm is a vibrant city with experience of arranging congresses. The combination of a COTEC Congress and the city of Stockholm is sure to give everyone who takes part a memory for life. May is usually one of the most beautiful months of the year. Please use our web-site and e-mail address, and prepare your contribution through abstracts, workshops or posters. We will prepare an exciting congress and a wonderful visit for you. We are excited to receive your contribution and to welcome you in 2012.
