Message from
M.A.O.T. President -
Stephanie Vella
I
would like to thank the people who nominated,
seconded and possible voted for me to become the
President of our professional association. The
elected committee was elected for a two year
term that is 2007/09. Our common aim is to move
forward our profession hence following the
footsteps of the former committees.
Our
vision for the coming 2 years is to increase the
awareness of Occupational Therapy at the society
level. We shall also strive to further
consolidate our links the medical, nursing
and other allied health professional
associations especially on national and
international issues. Furthermore, we also aim
to improve our forefronts with the World
Federation of Occupational Therapists (W.F.O.T.)
and Council of Occupational Therapists of
the European Countries (C.O.T.E.C.)
We
are grateful to the M.A.O.T. members that year
after year have supported the association in
various ways. We hope that new members join us
so that the association together with the
profession keep on sharing the message - Giving
Sense to Life.
